Deputy Commander, Joint Task Force- Global Network Operations
Brigadier General Davis is the Deputy Commander, Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations. He has served in this position since August 2008. Prior to this assignment, he served as Commander, 1st Information Operations Command, Fort Belvoir Virginia. Brigadier General Davis graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1980, receiving his commission as a Second Lieutenant of Infantry. He also holds as Master of Military Arts and Sciences degree from the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and a Masters Degree in Strategy from the United States Army War College.
His career has encompassed several command and staff positions. He has served with the 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina during OPERATION URGENT FURY in Grenada; the Berlin Brigade, US Army Europe; the 2d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Lewis, Washington during OPERATION JUST CAUSE, Panama; the United Nations Command Security Force-Joint Security Area, Panmunjom, Korea; J-3, United States Atlantic Command, Norfolk, Virginia; Regional Liaison Officer, J-5, later Chief, Information Operations Division, J-3, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Chief, Current Operations, Joint Special Operations Command, and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, Persian Gulf. He later served as the Deputy Director of Information Operations, later Chief, Information Operations Division, United States Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
